Hi, I’m Cessie, Director of Advisory Services at Aligned CPA.

I joined Aligned CPA in October, 2022 as the Director of Advisory Services, bringing CFO services to the tax world in order to foster perfect Alignment for our clients.

My Experience

I spent the last 19 years in the banking industry as a Senior Vice President, holding various titles including Controller, Chief Financial Officer, and Financial Strategy Officer.  My expertise includes balance sheet management, income growth, expense control, cash management, forecasting, and budgeting.  My roles also included Strategic Planning, Human Resource Administration, Leadership, Team Building, and Process Improvement/Efficiency Recognition.

I have worked with teams from 30 to 2,000 employees over the course of my career in banking.  I have a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of North Florida, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Central Florida.  I also graduated from the University of Florida’s School of Banking in 2008.

MY WHY

My ultimate goal is to give back to the community that raised me.  I serve on many boards within the community including Treasurer of the Columbia County School Board Foundation, Catholic Charities, and the Lake City Chamber of Commerce.  I am also a member of Altrusa International, and I have held various volunteer positions with the United Way of Suwannee Valley over the last 19 years.

 My love for finance and budgeting began as a small child when I opened my first savings account with money I had saved from birthday and Christmas gifts.  Columbia County and surrounding counties are full of entrepreneurs and business owners who excel at a certain trade.  I want to help those businesses understand and manage their financials in a way that will increase their profitability and help them grow.  I will be able to do what I love by guiding business owners through the financial and strategic aspects of running a business, so they can focus on the trade that they love.
